ABOUT HubbyCo

Bettina Hubby is a visual artist and the founder of HubbyCo, a studio employing creative disciplines for topical explorations. Under HubbyCo, Bettina has branched off from the lone role of artist-creator to curator-contributor, where she utilizes and promotes a fertile, diverse community. Each project calls for a different group of artists with a common interest corralled by HubbyCo to investigate a topic. Resulting is that each artist's practice intersects with the others to challenge each other, push boundaries, both individually and collectively, to create outside the confines of conventional exhibition settings.

Outside of the projects, In her commissions (garment revisions), Bettina challenges notions of dress and image by reworking, re-contexualizing and personalizing the clothing given to her with the specific wearer in mind. These are designated with the Hubby label.

The HubbyCo studio consistently counts on and appreciates Creative Director Tif Sigfrids, a songwriter, performance and visual artist.
